Policy
EKSA was introduced by MAMPU from January 2014 as a re-branding initiative of the 5S Public Sector with regard to the need to highlight a quality and conducive workplace environment to be more relevant to the public sector departments / agencies in Malaysia.
This re-branding step is thought to be appropriate and in line with changes and current requirements to enhance the organization's performance and competitiveness as well as to further promote creative and innovative culture within public sector departments / agencies.
The main components in the implementation of EKSA are still based on improving 5S practices along with the addition of several new elements. EKSA is not intended to replace the 5S concept previously practiced, but to improve the 5S elements by supporting the creation of a more conducive working environment. Improving 5S practice by adding five new elements - corporate image, creativity and innovation, green practices, conducive environment and diversity of agency.
